Tickets for Outdoor Screening Events Released Today

With the huge success of last year’s outdoor screening of classic The Goonies at the Douglas Amphitheatre, Isle of Man Film Festival are delighted to confirm that there will be two outdoor screenings included in this year’s Festival schedule. Both films are to be hosted at the iconic Castle Rushen in association with Manx National Heritage and Event Lighting Systems (ELS) and tickets are priced at £10.

The first of these films – Robin Hood Prince of Thieves – starring the late, great Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham alongside Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, will screen on the evening of Friday 9th September at 7pm. Green tights are optional!

The following day on Saturday 10th September we will screen a 2pm matinee performance of 1980s musical fantasy cult-classic Labyrinth. Starring another British legend of screen and sound that sadly passed away this year, the film celebrates the life of David Bowie as the jodhpur-clad Goblin King within the ancient walls of Castle Rushen.
