IOMFF is run by a small and dedicated team of professionals, who are passionate about delivering fantastic film focused community events. Our directors and programmers take pride in showcasing the breadth of creative talent that the Isle of Man nurtures and we’re delighted to be able to shine the spotlight on local filmmaking this year.

FESTIVAL PATRON – MARK KERMODE

We’re very fortunate to call Mark Kermode our Festival Patron – not only is he Chief film critic of the Observer newspaper and co-presenter of the hugely popular BBC Radio 5 Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review, but he’s also a damn fine double bass player whose band The Dodge Brothers have performed at two events at IOMFF in previous years. Mark regularly joins our judging panel for the International Short Film Competition strand of the festival and his wealth of knowledge has helped us to pick some incredible ‘Best of The Fest’ films over the years.  Mark has also hosted a series of IOMFF events with an incredible selection of British film talent.  With Q&A’s with BAFTA award winner Amma Asante, Sir John Hurt and John Rhys-Davies to name just a few. How lucky are we eh?!

OUR FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS

The Isle of Man Film Festival wouldn’t be what it is without the army of volunteers who support the fest each year. Passionate and dedicated, our ‘shorties’, as we like to call them,  offer up their free time to each year to help us deliver events that we’re so proud of.

If you love film and fancy getting involved, then we would love to hear from you! You’ll get into the thick of the action and enjoy the festival from ‘the front row’. Get in touch with us via
our social channels and send us a direct message 🙂
